These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the Skoolynk Management Solutions platform, including all associated web and mobile applications ("Platform"). By registering your educational institution or accessing the Platform as a student, parent, or staff member, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Our mission is to provide secure, robust, and reliable school management tools. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use Skoolynk.

1. Eligibility and Institutional Onboarding

To register a school on Skoolynk, you must be an authorized representative (such as a Principal, Proprietor, or designated IT Administrator) with the legal authority to bind your institution to these Terms. Skoolynk strictly serves the educational sector; we reserve the right to verify your institution's credentials before activating premium management features or fee collection tools.

2. Account Responsibilities

As a multitenant platform, each school acts as an independent entity on Skoolynk. The school is solely responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of administrative credentials.
• Authorizing the enrollment and access levels (RBAC) of staff, students, and parents within their specific portal.
• Ensuring the accuracy of academic records, grades, and disciplinary information entered into the system.
• Promptly reporting any unauthorized access or security breaches to Skoolynk support.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

Skoolynk must be used exclusively for educational administration, communication, and learning purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the platform to distribute malicious software, spam, or abusive communications.
• Attempt to bypass our security protocols or access another school's tenant data.
• Upload highly sensitive non-educational data (such as government IDs or medical history) unless explicitly supported by a specific Skoolynk module.

4. Fees, Invoicing, and Payments

Skoolynk offers various subscription tiers for institutions. By opting into a paid tier, schools agree to the pricing and billing cycles disclosed during onboarding.

• School Subscriptions: Billed in advance. Failure to pay may result in temporary suspension of administrative tools, though basic student access is typically maintained for a grace period.
• Tuition Payments (Parents): When parents use Skoolynk to pay school fees, transactions are processed via secure third-party gateways (e.g., Paystack). Skoolynk generates automated receipts but is not responsible for disputes regarding the school's actual tuition policies.

5. Data Ownership and Portability

Schools retain full ownership of their data, including student records, staff details, and financial ledgers. Skoolynk acts purely as a data processor. Upon termination of a contract, schools may export their data via available reporting tools before the system securely and permanently deletes the tenant's data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform if a school or user is found to be in material breach of these Terms, engages in illegal activities, or fails to meet financial obligations after repeated notices.

7. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of Skoolynk shall be resolved through mediation or within the competent courts of Nigeria.
